Up for you consideration is this 1990 Jeep Cherokee limited. This Jeep was purchased brand new and has been in my family ever since. I replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, trailer hitch and have 4 rust free doors and 2 front fenders and full length replacement rocker panels. The power door locks will need to be lubricated to work properly. I also replaced 1 leaking fuel injector, and have the other 5 brand new ones.The power steering pump is leaking, I replaced the tires at 132176 miles with BF Goodrich including the spare. The spare is mounted on a brand new rim I bought on Ebay and matches the other 4 on the vehicle. The radiator has been replaced also along with the upper and lower hoses. I have 3 brand new lock cylinders with keys I bought on Ebay. The front roters calipers and shoes have been replaced along with new drums, hardware and shoes on the rear. I also have the Jeep factory service manual to go along with the vehicle. The headliner is coming down and the brake light stays on. The jeep is 100% original and goes 70 mph with no front end vibration. Please ask any questions and feel free to come and look at the Jeep before making a offer. I picked up a 2006 Toyota and am 61 yo, so I am letting this project go. I do have all the parts that are missing in the photos, The blue doors and fenders came off a rust free 94 xj that was at Victory Auto wreckers, The Jeep for sale has never been in an accident, both front and rear differentials were drained and new gear oil added, also I had the trans drained of 16 quarts of fluid and the filter replaced and refilled with fresh trans fluid. 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 VIN: 1J4FJ67S2TL277196 226,000 miles Located in Louisville, KY Engine: 4.0 liter inline 6. The engine runs great! Idles nice and smooth and has plenty of power. The 4.0 engine is rated at 190 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque. The valve cover was upgraded to an aluminum cover recently when the valve cover gasket was replaced. Oil changed every 5,000 miles with Mobile 1 synthetic. No leaks and everything works perfectly. Transmission: AX15 5 speed manual. Transmission shifts nice and smooth and the clutch is in great shape. Transfer Case: NP231 transfer case with Tom Woods slip yoke eliminator kit including Tom Woods CV rear driveshaft. Works great, options are: 2 wheel drive high range, 4 wheel drive high range, and 4 wheel drive low range (2.72:1 low range ratio) Axles: The front axle is the high pinion dana 30. All bearings and seals have been replaced. A set of 4.56 gears and an Aussie Locker fully locking differential has been installed. The axleshafts were upgraded to Ten Factory cromoly shafts. The rear axle is a Chrysler 8.25” axle out of a 2000 Cherokee, so it has the larger diameter shafts. All bearings and seals have been replaced. A set of 4.56 gears and an Aussie Locker were also installed in the rear axle. No leaks and all the bearings run nice and smooth. Wheels and Tires: ProComp 15x8 alloy wheels. The tires are new Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 35x12.50. The Jeep has a 31” spare with matching alloy wheel. Suspension: The front suspension is Rubicon Express 3.5” lift coils with ¾” spacer on top. JKS adjustable lower control arms, JKS adjustable trac bar, JKS swaybar disconnects. The rear suspension is Old Man Emu 3.5” lift medium load springs and Rubicon Express extended shackles. The rear axle was also moved back ¾” for better tire clearance. The shocks are all Old Man Emu nitrocharger shocks and all the bumpstops are Daystar 2” extended polyurethane bumpstops. Body: The color is red with black trim. The body is good condition overall for a 22 year old Jeep! The front fenders have been trimmed to clear the 35” tires under full articulation and the fenders do have a few dents on them from trail use. The rear wheel openings have also been trimmed to fit the larger tires. This Jeep also has the towing package. Interior: The interior color is grey and is in great shape. The headliner was recently replaced. The Jeep has manual windows, manual door locks, tilt wheel, air conditioning, upgraded stereo and speakers. Everything works great including heat and AC! Other: The Jeep has a Detours Offroad winch mount front bumper with Smittybilt XRC comp 9500lb winch with synthetic cable installed. On the rear is the Detours Offroad swing out tire carrier that I have added mounts to for a high lift jack. For trail armor, it has JCR lower control arm mount skid plates, JCR transfer case skid plate, and JCR rock sliders. The tie rod has been upgraded to heavy duty aluminum rod made by StinkyFab Racing. The steering box has been upgraded to a Dodge Durango box and a JCR heavy duty steering box spacer. The Jeep has a CB radio installed that works great. There is also a Yakima roof rack with 2 bike trays. The Jeep also has LED headlights and new parking lights. This Jeep is in great condition and it has been well maintained. I used to work as a mechanic and I’m very meticulous about maintenance and I have a log book of all the service completed since I’ve owned the vehicle. 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ purchased in southern Oregon. This XJ is rust free and the underside is in remarkable condition as you can see in the pics. Purchased it to drive it cross country visiting 2 national parks. Ran like a charm. Never driven in MN winter, which is where I live and where the Jeep is now located.
